Team West Memorial Race year 10 was smaller then expeted but we had more runners than previous years, so that was a success. Let's share the event for year 11 and make this year even better.
About:Jason M. West graduated from Slippery Rock University with a BSBA in Human Resources and a minor in Leadership in 2002. He was an active member of the U.S. Army out of high school as well as SRU's Army ROTC program. Jason spent two tours of duty serving Operation Iraqi Freedom while he was stationed in Germany. On July 24, 2006, Jason, 28, was killed in the line of duty when he encountered enemy fire in Ramadi, Iraq. Proceeds from the race are given to a scholarship at Slippery Rock Univesity in honor of Captain West to support his belief in SRU ROTC adn a military career.
